At Tenet, your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our services.

Information we collect

1001474181 ONTARIO INC. (“Tenet,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website yourtenet.com and related AI‑powered tools (the “Services”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when businesses and individuals use the Services, in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (“PIPEDA”).

By using the Services, you consent to our handling of your information as described below, subject to any rights and choices you may have under applicable law.

1.1 Company, brand and product information

When you use the Services as a business user, you may provide information about:

  • Your company or organization (e.g., legal name, trade name, brand, product names, industry, website URLs, and high‑level descriptions).

  • Your role and business contact details (e.g., name, job title, work email, work phone).

Basic business contact details used strictly for business communications are treated in line with PIPEDA but generally involve a lower privacy risk than sensitive personal data.

1.2 Prompts, content and inputs

When you interact with our tool, we collect:

  • Prompts, queries, and instructions you submit.

  • Any text, documents, data, or other content you upload or paste, which may describe your company, brand, product, plans, or other business information.

This content may occasionally contain personal information (e.g., names or contact details inside your prompts). You are responsible for ensuring that any personal information you include is shared with us in compliance with your own legal obligations.

1.3 Website and analytics data

When you visit or use the Services, we automatically collect information commonly used for web analytics, such as:

  • Date and time of visits.

  • Pages viewed, buttons clicked, time on page, and navigation paths.

  • Browser type, operating system, and device type.

  • Referring URL (how you arrived at the website).

  • IP address and general geographic region inferred from it (e.g., city/province/country), typically stored or analyzed in de‑identified or pseudonymous form where feasible.

We use cookies and similar technologies to support this analytics, as described in the “Cookies and similar technologies” section below.

How we use your information

2.1 Information use

We use company/brand information, prompts, and analytics data to:

  • Provide the Services, including generating outputs in response to your prompts, and operating, maintaining, and securing our platform.

  • Improve and develop the Services, such as understanding which features are used, diagnosing issues, and making enhancements based on aggregated usage patterns.

  • Communicate with you about your account, feature changes, security notifications, and service‑related updates.

  • Analyze website traffic and usage trends to better understand our audience and optimize our site and marketing.

  • Comply with legal and regulatory requirements and protect our rights, our users, and others (e.g., preventing abuse or misuse of the Services).

2.2 Third-party AI services

To provide our AI-powered features, we use the following third-party services:

  • Anthropic (Claude)

  • Perplexity

These providers process your prompts and content via API calls only. Under their API terms, your data is not retained or used to train AI models. Each request is stateless and not stored by these providers.

2.3 AI model training

Your content, prompts, and business information are never used to train AI models, either by us or our third-party AI providers.

We limit collection and use of information to what is necessary for reasonable, identified purposes and follow PIPEDA’s fair information principles.

Cookies and analytics tools

We use web analytics tools (for example, third‑party platforms similar to Google Analytics or equivalent services) to understand how yourtenet.com is used and to improve performance. These tools may use:

  • First‑party cookies stored in your browser.

  • Pixel tags or scripts that track page views and events.

Analytics providers typically receive depersonalized usage data (such as truncated IP addresses and aggregated traffic patterns) and are contractually limited to using it only to provide analytics services to us.

You can:

  • Adjust your browser settings to refuse or delete cookies (some site features may not function properly without them).

  • Use available opt‑out tools provided by analytics vendors, where offered.

Legal basis, consent and your choices

We collect, use, and disclose personal information by fair and lawful means, for reasonable purposes, and with your knowledge and consent where required by PIPEDA.

Your choices include:

  • Limiting personal data in prompts: You can choose to avoid including unnecessary personal information in prompts or uploaded content where it is not needed for your business use case.

  • Marketing communications: If we send marketing emails, you can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.

  • Cookies and analytics: You can manage cookies in your browser and, where available, via on‑site cookie settings.

You may request access to, or correction of, personal information we hold about you, subject to legal limitations.

Sharing, security and contact

We may share information with:

  • Service providers that host our infrastructure, provide analytics, email delivery, and other operational services, under agreements requiring them to protect information and use it only as instructed.

  • Authorities or third parties where required by law, or where necessary to protect our rights, safety, or the rights and safety of others.

  • Successors in interest in the context of a merger, acquisition, or similar transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards.

Data storage and retention

Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure in North America (AWS/Neon) with encryption at rest and in transit.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting admin@yourtenet.com. Upon request, your data is permanently removed within 30 days.

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access or disclosure, recognizing that no system can be guaranteed 100% secure.

You also have the right to contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada about your privacy rights and our practices.

Your rights

You may:

  • Request access to your data.

  • Correct or delete your information.

  • Withdraw your consent to data processing.
